Recommended usage: 

1. Semi-hydro (recommended - kit included) Semi-hydro has worked best for me because it provides consistent moisture while allowing plenty of airflow around the roots. Orchids naturally grow their roots downward toward the humidity created by the water reservoir at the bottom of the ceramic pot, encouraging healthy, well-developed root systems.
2. Direct planting For direct planting, the orchid is planted straight into the ceramic pot in your choice of media, keeping the roots completely hidden from view. These pots have no bottom drainage and are primarily designed for semi-hydro growing, so direct planting requires careful watering  to avoid root rot.
3. Plastic inner pot - classic method, fits up to 3.5 inch classic plastic pot - remove, water by soaking in a different container when roots turn silver
